TNO - Knowledge for business

Health Assets

Building in the healthcare sector: healthcare providers are gaining more freedom and responsibility, hence more risk. Government withdrawal means that its supervisory bodies focus only on the quality, accessibility and affordability of the healthcare. The Dutch Centre for Health Assets (DuCHA), part of TNO since January 2009, supports parties that undertake building in the healthcare sector. Objective, independent and with knowledge for business.

With the disappearance of the compulsory permit for building in the healthcare sector, the Netherlands Board for Healthcare Institutions (Bouwcollege) also disappeared. In order to retain and develop the expertise of the Bouwcollege the Dutch Centre for Health Assets has been started. The Centre takes on tasks for the government relating to the quality of the buildings and the development and generation of innovation such as Kennisplein (Portal healthcare and design). Besides the Centre delivers advisory services ((strategic) planning, design and costing) and offers a broad programme on seminars and congresses.
