Cities are dynamic entities that face great challenges in making and keeping the residential environments of an increasing number of inhabitants accessible, sustainable and liveable. Accessible cities need a sustainable and efficient mobility and transport system, one that is in keeping with the city and its users. What new patterns – associated with which modalities – are created in this process? The spotlight is increasingly being placed on the mobility system’s users, and self-organizing goods flows are making an appearance. It is important for each part of the system to be linked to and to communicate with every other part. Integrated solutions that take into account all aspects of the mobility system are therefore necessary in order to prevent suboptimizations in the subsystems. At the same time, centralized direction is required in order to create the parameters for decentralized systems.
With 30,000 visitors from more than 130 countries, Intertraffic is the traffic and mobility industry’s largest exhibition. Manufacturers, importers, and experts representing traffic, mobility and automotive solutions attend the exhibition, as well as a large number of policymakers.
