Cities face complex challenges to reduce CO2 emissions, noise and traffic pollution and keep the city attractive, liveable and healthy. It is TNO's aim to offer governmental bodies insight they need to provide for optimal direction and benefit from new technologies such as automated and cooperative driving, zero emission mobility and mobility as a service.

During the morning session of this event TNO will together with leading Dutch industry and the City of Amsterdam present Urban Strategy. Urban Strategy is a strategic and tactical instrument for balancing the urban sustainable trio comprised of urban planning, environmental quality and transportation.

Urban Strategy enables you to realize comprehensive and well considered solutions for challenges to keep a growing city livable and healthy. It is an objective tool that has the added benefit of significantly reducing the duration of your spatial planning projects. A process that once took weeks to months can now be reduced to just a few days.

The City of Amsterdam and TNO cooperate to further develop Urban Strategy and put it in practice on challenges such as mobility planning, urban planning and the environmental quality. TNO and Amsterdam would like to connect with other smart cities and share experiences and ideas during this workshop.
