We focus on nine societal areas.
TNO cooperates with companies, the public sector and other organisations, to apply our knowledge and expertise with and for others.
We develop knowledge not for its own sake, but for practical application.
TNO offers you the chance to do groundbreaking work and help customers and society with innovative, practical and smart solutions.
On our TNOTIME platform you can find blogs, interviews and background stories. Discover the field of TNO captured in photographs, animations, video and text. Share interesting articles and powerful infographics, or download whitepapers.
The 2018 edition of the Hannover Messe, the fair for international industry, will take place from 23 to 27 April. TNO will again be participating along with Dutch companies, organisations and knowledge institutes this year. You will find us in hall 8, in the Holland High Tech, IT & Smart Industry pavilion. Will we see you there?
The main theme 'Integrated Industry - Connect & Collaborate' shows the technological innovations of tomorrow. The five Integrated Automation, Motion & Drives (IAMD), Digital Factory, Energy, Industrial Supply and Research & Technology sub-exhibitions provide a comprehensive picture of the digitisation of production and energy systems.
Hannover Messe is the most important trade fair in the world and is often the first choice of companies for launching new products. This year more than 5,000 exhibitors from all over the world will be present. The goal of the Holland Pavilion is to position the Netherlands internationally, to make contacts and to expand the network.
Stand D34 will be where TNO presents a few of its latest innovations in the field of Smart Industry and Optics. Under the name Dutch Optics Centre TNO reveals, with partners TU Delft, BE precision, solar app-lab and AR-developers, those products in which optomechtronics plays an important role.
We also address the creation of new business through the far-reaching digitisation of the Smart Industry focus area. In Hanover we show how competitive production is possible in the Netherlands through the application of four aspects: zero defects through 100% inspection, work instruction systems for your assembly workers, sharing data between machines in your production line and between your company and other companies, and conversion of your production line without programming effort.
