ITS World Congress: the world gets acquainted with smart mobility systems

In the autumn of 2019, TNO will show the world how far we’ve come in making it practically possible to drive automated vehicles. This will take place during the ITS Congress Singapore (intelligent transport systems) from 21 to 25 October. Our country is a world leader in this field.

As an innovative organisation, TNO is making an important contribution to these developments, as well as to projects running locally in Singapore. We have unique test facilities and top researchers who are accelerating and optimising the development, realisation and effectiveness of new mobility systems. We work on three levels:

• vehicle,
• system and
• social impact.

These concern the technology in the car, communication between cars and with the environment, safety, behaviour, legislation and regulations and how the new systems should be set up for maximum impact on traffic flow, safety and emissions. We do not do this alone but together with national and regional governments, other knowledge institutes and national and international market parties.
