TNO will provide a seminar on 17 and 18 April 2019 on the subject of model based development and Control in the automotive domain. Model based development is becoming increasingly important in the automotive domain. The location is the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Tokyo, Japan. Target audience are middle management employees in the Japanese automotive OEM and TIER1 industry.

Two day seminar on Model Based Development and Control

TNO is very pleased to invite you to the 2019 Seminar in Tokyo, Japan on the subject of Model Based Development and Control in the automotive domain. For two days we will be hosted in the inspiring environment of Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Why should you attend?

Model based development is becoming increasingly important in the automotive domain. Future legislation is driving the growing complexity of designing and calibrating automotive systems. For this reason we hope you will be able to join us to learn, and share your views and ideas.

Who should attend?

The seminar is targeted at middle management of Japanese OEMs and TIER1 companies. The first day, an expert speaker will lead us through the trends in automotive. Thereafter we will elaborate on the topic from a managerial perspective and on technical level. The second day TNO will demonstrate a number of interesting examples that illustrate the technical details and benefits of model based working.

The presentations will be given by experts in Model Based Development and Control.

  • Dr. Xander Seykens
    Xander obtained his PhD in 2010 and he is assistant professor at Technical University in Eindhoven. He is specialized in control-oriented powertrain (ICE/aftertreatment) model development.
  • Ir. Erik Hoedemaekers MSc
    Erik obtained his Automotive master degree in 2015 at Technical University of
    Eindhoven. He is specialised in the field of ‘Electromechanics and Power Electronics’ and graduated
    on the topic of ‘Online State-oF-Health Estimation for Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries’.
  • Dr. ir. Constantijn Romijn
    He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology in 2017. He is specialized in the application of optimal control to vehicle energy management systems.
