The first stakeholder event of the Interreg 2 Seas Electrons-2-Chemicals Project is a one day public event that will bring leading researchers, equipment suppliers, the process and chemicals industries, and local policy makers together. The event will facilitate discussions on the barriers and opportunities around industrial electrification and CO2 reuse in the present, near future, and long term. The results of the discussions will be used to guide further research directions, develop the project roadmap, and determine the strategic direction for a Power-to-X Centre of Excellence to be realised in the Rotterdam region.
What to expect:
The event will be held at the Engels Conference Centre next to the Rotterdam Centraal train station. Directions and more information about the location.
The E2C project, together with the VoltaChem Shared Innovation Programme and Smartport, have put together a comprehensive program of high level speakers, who will present their viewpoints through inspiring keynote presentations; a round table session for in-depth discussions; and an interactive panel discussion. We hope those who attend will fully engage in the discussions while making full use of the networking opportunities with the E2C project partners and other participants.
We welcome all stakeholders: industry, SMEs, research organisations, equipment suppliers, policy makers, opinion leaders in the areas of CO2 reuse and renewable energy. Those that attend should be prepared to contribute actively to the event throughout the day and engage in in-depth discussions. It is through the participation of the attendees that the event will be a success.
Please register. Registration is mandatory and free of charge. The final deadline for registration is Thursday, 12 March 2020.
The event will be held in English.
The VoltaChem Shared Innovation Program and partners from the 2 Seas region joined forces starting 1 July 2018 in the interregional project "Electrons to high-value chemical products" (E2C) project. The cross-border project, awarded by the Interreg 2 Seas ERDF funding program, focuses on the conversion of CO2 into chemicals and fuels, using renewable electricity. The aim of the consortium is to accelerate the development and implementation of this Power-to-X and CO2 conversion technology.
More information about the project.
Any questions about the organisation of the event should be directed to the E2C Communications Manager, Dr. Erin Schols, at erin.schols@linq-consulting.com.
Questions regarding the E2C project specifically should be directed to the Project Coordinator, Dr. Seda Çakir Benthem, at seda.cakirbenthem@tno.nl
