Redefining the energy transition

June 24, 10.00

The year 2020 is on track to be an inflection point for the energy transition: historically low oil & gas prices, decreasing energy demand, deflationary power prices and discussions on stranded assets. How will investment flows change given the situation? How can solar take the lead in the energy transition? How should the solar players adapt their business models? Is it time for a new paradigm?

Wim Sinke, Principal Scientist Solar Energy at TNO, will discuss this theme plenary with Michael Liebreich, Chairman and CEO of Liebreich Associates, Luca Matrone Head Energy Intesa Sanpaolo, Benedikt Ortmann Global Director Solar Projects BayWa r.e. and Kareen Boutonnat Group COO of Lightsource BP.
