New MEC-Bouwlab (Lab for Materials, Energy and Construction)

24 Sep 2014

The new MEC-Bouwlab TNO in Delft meets the need within the construction and infrastructure sector to innovation and in the field of materials, energy and construction. Existing buildings should be adjustable and therefore last longer. New structures must be durable and comfortable for the users. And that at a time of shortage of materials and lower budgets.

The MEC-Bouwlab is a dedicated experimental research facility for clients active in the Dutch and the international residential and commercial construction and infrastructure market. MEC stands for Materials, Energy and Constructions. Because all expertises are now renewed and brought closer together in one building an efficient, creative and multidisciplinary collaboration is made easier.
