We focus on nine societal areas.
TNO cooperates with companies, the public sector and other organisations, to apply our knowledge and expertise with and for others.
We develop knowledge not for its own sake, but for practical application.
TNO offers you the chance to do groundbreaking work and help customers and society with innovative, practical and smart solutions.

TNO stands for innovation. And that is why we wanted to do something different for the official opening ceremony that has taken place on Friday 22 September. No cutting ribbons, but building relationships!
That is why we invited four persons to be innovative: we asked them to make the Singapore National Day Parade symbol of 2017. This symbol emphasizes togetherness, connectivity and partnerships. Exactly, where we stand for! With a joint touchdown of Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Her Excellency Mrs. Margriet Vonno, Director Technology of Cyber Security Agency (CSA) of Singapore, Mr. Soon Chia Lim, Program Director CETRAN of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Mr. Niels de Boer and Director of TNO Singapore, Mr. Peter van Hooft, our new office was officially opened.
We are looking forward to work in this office, which has a bit of the look and feel of our headquarters in the Netherlands, New Babylon, but above all we are looking forward to be right in the middle of the Triple Helix of universities, government and companies. That is where we as TNO Singapore can make the difference!
