Marja Eijkman new Managing Director Unit Defence, Safety & Security

We are pleased to announce that Ir. M.J. (Marja) Eijkman (54) will join TNO on 16 April 2020 as Managing Director of the unit Defence, Safety & Security, succeeding Henk Geveke. Mrs Eijkman has broad experience in both the public domain and business. Through her current and previous employers, she is also familiar with Defence.

For the past 10 years Marja has been Vice President and Member of the Board of Directors of the Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR) where she heads the Aerospace Operations division, responsible for profit & loss, research & development, product development, marketing & sales and new business development. She is also a member of the Executive Board of the Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI) and a member of the Supervisory Board of the Dutch Drone Centre Foundation.

Marja, who studied as an aircraft engineer at Delft University of Technology, started her career at Fokker Aircraft and then switched to Sun Electric Systems as General Manager. She then worked as Managing Director at Pauw companies for 7 years.
