Sebastiaan Tesink is senior system engineer at the Cyber Security Technologies department, specialized in (automated) vulnerability research and automated security. He is portfolio manager for the PMC Automated Security, and involved in multiple projects concerning challenges in automation of red and blue teams.
The automation of cyber-attacks, lack of qualified cyber-security personnel, and the dependence of our society on IT systems, urgently requires improvements in cyber defence. Within Automated Security, Sebastiaan is contributing in several projects to help improve cyber-resilience by automating processes within SOC/CSIRT teams, in projects such as SOCCRATES (https://www.soccrate.eu) and PPP ASOP. On the other hand, Sebastiaan's work also focusses on vulnerability research, concerning the automated discovery and assessment of software vulnerabilities.
