What’s so interesting about working at Stieltjesweg in Delft? TNO has a variety of unique locations and this is certainly one of them. With its state-of-the-art lab facilities, location on the Delft University of Technology campus and with 245 experts pushing the boundaries of technology, Stieltjesweg is a vibrant working environment.

This is where the Van Leeuwenhoek Laboratory (VLL) is located. Within the field of nanotechnology, VLL is one of the largest (cleanroom) research facilities in the Netherlands. This 6000 m2 laboratory – half of which is dedicated to class 100-1000 cleanroom facilities – is where we join forces with Delft University of Technology and external partners in order to create the extraordinary.

VLL is just one example of the state-of-the art facilities in which we carry out our innovative work. Stieltjesweg also houses a wide range of cutting-edge projects and research areas. We explore many different technical fields and aim to bring fundamental research to actual application, moving it up the ladder of technical readiness. This means that our people work on early stage research up to actual proof-of-concept or prototypes, putting ideas into practice.

Focusing on innovative markets

We focus on several attractive, innovative and vastly expanding markets.

In the Space & Science Instrumentation market, we focus on Earth observation, Astronomy - both ground and space based - and laser satellite communication.

In the Semiconductor Equipment market, we create the best semiconductor equipment of today, and explore all the possibilities of tomorrow, together with our partners (a.o. ASML, Carl Zeiss and Microsoft).
