What will you be doing?
With an enthousiastic team we work on developing new 3D printed electronics concepts and making them suitable for a broad range of applications and markets. Within this team you will be responsible for the electronics expertise in projects: - what are the key parameters for specific electronics - how do these translate to requirements for a 3D printing process - what new concepts can be create Beside the technical project work you will also be involved in acquisition work to technically discuss concepts and ideas with potential customers and provide this input into proposals.
What do we require of you?
This position requires a broad understanding of concept/technology development and electronics in general. We are looking for an outgoing person with a broad scientific interest. Knowledge in the domain of electronics is a key requirements. Experience and understanding of Additive manufacturing/3D printing is positive but not a requisit. You are pro-active and like working in a multi-disciplinairy team, where you have your own responsibilities for your part of the work.
What can you expect of your work situation?
EFAM (equipment for additive manufacturing) is a department of approximately 45 persons in which we work on developing new 3D printing technologies for different domains (like high tech systems, 3D printed electronics, medical, Food and Pharma). It's a multi-disciplinairy team consisting of among others mechanical engineers, mechatronics, printing, flow and thermal engineers. We test, validate and optimise our existing concepts for customer tailored to their applications as well as developing new concepts for customers as well as next generation concepts for future implementation. We at EfAM collaborate closely with additonal departments within TNO specialized in material science. Activities in the 3D printed electronics team consist of a combination of developing and engineering new setups, modifications and upgrades to existing setup, as well as practical hands on work with the 3D printers in the lab to test and validate their performance and investigate the 3D printing of innovative products and features.

You can apply till 18th of June. The first round of interviews is scheduled on the 28th of June. The second round of interviews is scheduled for the 4th of July. After a positive selection, we will finish off the process by discussing terms and conditions of employment. We try to complete the interviews and assessment within 4 weeks.
