What will be your role?
SSI business consultant
Contributing to the digital identity of tomorrow. Envision it.
Become an SSI business consultant at TNO in Groningen or The Hague, the Netherlands
Citizens or clients digitally managing all their personal data themselves. And by doing so, being able to apply for a mortgage or grant within minutes. Envision it! Large-scale data breaches, all those passwords: the way companies and government authorities currently manage identities centrally is not future-proof. To make data sharing safer, more reliable and faster, TNO conducts research into the application of self-sovereign identity (SSI). Overcoming the hurdles, such as international standardization and embedding in legislation, requires guts, conviction and influencing skills. Can you rally partners and clients to commit to tomorrow’s digital identity?
What will be your role?
Let’s consider TNO’s vision on SSI: a ‘wallet’ app, with which users control their own – validated – identity data. From this vision you advise organizations that store and process data at a large scale. Such as government authorities, hospitals, banks, insurers and telecom companies. With clients and partners you will jointly develop projects geared to the use of SSI in automated administrative decision-making processes. Depending on the project, such as testing a prototype, you will create relevant ecosystems. In your role you will work closely with TNO’s specialists and universities, but also with start-ups and tech companies. At national and European level. And as a business consultant you share TNO’s vision and knowledge by publishing expert blogs, speaking at conferences and other means.
Your team is the Cyber Security & Robustness department. Being at the top of our game, we are the Netherlands’ thought leaders in the field of SSI concepts and cyber security. Your fifty colleagues are experts in SSI, blockchain technology, advanced encryption and semantic models. Fifteen of us work in Groningen, joined by colleagues of other departments. Here, everyone knows each other by name. We also operate from our modern head office near The Hague Central Station. Wherever you go, you’ll experience our open and friendly atmosphere. And you will often share thoughts on technology policy, ethics and strategy with your colleagues of other departments.Read more about Cyber Security & Robustness
