What will you be doing?
Making technology that is practicable in its early days. TNO is committed to do this with the deployment of new technologies. By trying out new technologies, we gather data, which we then use to build simulations that help predict on a large scale the impact of a change on a city or metropolitan region.
Does a traveler go by car, take the train or get on a bicycle? The better we understand why a certain mobility is chosen, the better we can predict the extent to which the traveler will switch to a new modality with a new price and a new proposition, such as is currently happening with Uber or car sharing. But can you ever get people out of their cars, and will the new mode of transport really improve the environment and quality of life in the city?
In this role, you will be responsible for a large part of our national and occasionally international business portfolio and revenue, with a structural contribution to our strategic program Digitalization. You will be responsible for business development and innovative propositions for multiple stakeholders, that will accelerate our roadmap. In day-to-day operations, you will support and work together with colleagues in the Digitalization program, consisting of business developers and the leading consultants and scientists in the field of accessibility and livability of cities.
What do we require of you?
- Strong affinity with smart cities, smart mobility, and digitalization;
- A proven track record of work experience in a commercial role; Experience in business development both in subsidy programs as well as in a B2G & B2B environment;
- Ability and proven experience to coordinate multiple business development trajectories at the same time, with focus on actual deal closing with new and existing partners;
- Strong affinity with an R&D/Technology oriented and dynamic working environment;
