What will be your role?

You will have the unique opportunity of raising the systems engineering competencies in the high tech industry to higher levels, building on the knowledge and insights generated by the research projects performed by your colleagues at our industry partners (ASML, Canon, ITEC, Philips, Thales, ThermoFisher Scientific and Vanderlande). You will be part of the Competence Development Program (CDP) team at that develops, organizes and operationally executes learning programs. The CDP program works at three levels: share, learn and accelerate. Sharing means bringing engineers from our ecosystem together to share knowledge and experience, learning takes place in short training programs and acceleration refers to programs with a length of 3 months to 1 year in order to widen the system perspective of professionals in the high-tech industry. 

You will be responsible for program management of our existing acceleration programs: system engineering, system architecting and system integration. Further, you will co-facilitate technical oriented learning tracks together to one of our technical trainers, e.g.: software legacy and interface management. In addition, you will develop, guide and facilitate (online) dialogue-  and networking sessions with one or multiple industry parties.
You will also have the opportunity to work with the ESI research projects by supporting and advising them with the transfer of results (methods, tools, competencies) to industrial application via development of workshops, courses, etc.
Finally, you will have the chance to do experiments and create and validate a methodology how to include a people and organization perspective in early technical research in order to support the embedding of innovative results in high-tech industry.

Other knowledge and skills you bring to TNO: 
  • You have a background in either the social sciences (e.g. organization & change, psychology, or corporate anthropology), in business administration or you have proven capabilities to connect mono-disciplines in the high-tech domain 
  • You have experience or proven affinity with development and/or operational execution of learning programs or competence development activities
  • You are a team-player
  • You can give energy to a group
  • You look at things from a systems perspective (business, customer, technology)

The selection process

Please apply before the 10th of June, 2022. The selection process comprises two interview rounds. The preliminary interview takes place on the 20th of June, 2022. TIn a final meeting we will discuss the terms of employment and your tailored benefits package. We aim to finalize the entire process within four weeks.
