What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for creating and editing our content. You will think up suitable and attractive subjects and write and edit short texts for print and online publication. For instance, short copy for the news lab, texts for campaigns and social media and press releases. You will ensure that you reach the right and diverse target groups, write texts aimed at SEO, analyse performance and achieve a consistent tone of voice. You will advise on the (re)design of our communication channels by considering the online customer journey. You will proactively initiate new content and/or applications and respond to current events by means of text and images. You will think up and publish messages and handle the online communication together with the spokesperson. As the editor-in-chief you will be responsible for all content on the website. In addition, as a functional team lead, you will provide substantive guidance and coaching to the team.

What do we require of you?

You know how to really convey a message and you can motivate and enthuse people. The ideal candidate for this role has the following profile:
  • higher professional (HBO) or university degree in journalism or communications;
  • at least 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • a number of years of experience in a coordinating and/or management role, preferably within copywriting;
  • extensive experience with content marketing, social media CRO and activation of target groups;
  • experience with blockchain concepts is a plus;
  • experience with government communication in a political-administrative environment is a plus;
  • experience with different CMS systems (Umbraco, SharePoint);
  • excellent command of Dutch and English;
  • you have strong organisational and communication skills;
  • you are proactive, creative, enterprising and pragmatic.
