What will you be doing?
Within Intelligent Imaging we have several projects working on virtual reality. Most of these projects use head mounted displays to experience the 3D environment. When the current environment is filmed and displayed in the virtual reality world, we want it to be as realistic as possible. Therefore we want to reconstruct the human’s face in the place of the head mounted display. The project will be part of our project on tele conferences with VR. Within this teleconferencing we want a conference table in VR with all participants of the meeting, while the participants are actually joining via their laptop. To get a realistic conference experience, the human face should be reconstructed on the head mounted display, even when it is moving or deforming. That is your challenge!
We expect that Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) would be useful for this problem and want you to investigate its potential. You will be working as part of the virtual reality project team. Besides, you will be incorporated within the deep learning team to enhance each other’s knowledge.
Interested in combining VR with deep learning and investigating the potential of GANs? Join our team!
You can start your internship at any moment from May 2019 onwards, for a period of at least 6 months.
