What will you be doing?
The TNO Holst Centre has a team working on hybrid printed electronics (HPE). Printed circuit board applications are made on flexible foils, opening many new possibilities regarding form factor, lightweight and flexible products and low cost production processes.
In the HPE sensor team, we will develop a printed relative humidity sensor. Working in a small team, you will be responsible for testing different sensor materials and establishing the process method for this new class of printed sensor. This work will be done in the framework of the Interreg project Grow, where we develop new sensors for greenhouses. The sensors can be tested in a greenhouse during the internship.
Your tasks will be:
- Literature survey
- Performing experiments in clean rooms and labs
- Electrical and material characterization
- Data analysis and reporting to the team
- Documentation of results in a technical report
- Presentation of results
The duration of this internship is at least 5 months and it preferably starts in January.
What do we require of you?
- Master student or bachelor graduation student from applied science, chemistry, physics or related;
- Theoretical and experimental skills;
- Independent, and a team player.
