At the Sustainable Technologies for Industrial Processes group of TNO, we support the transition towards a low-carbon future by industrial innovation. At present, industrial heat is generated via combustion of fossil fuels resulting in a significant CO2 emission. Reducing the greenhouse gas emissions for heat generation can be achieved through the development and implementation of energy efficient processes and the use of sustainable heat sources. Monoethylene Glycol-water separation is a highly energy intensive separation that could be greatly benefited from process intensification.
