What will be your role?
Toxic substances in the workplace can have a significant effect on health. At TNO, we are developing systems to detect a variety of these materials using state-of-the-art technologies. Our goals include ensuring the safety of workers and reducing environmental pollution.
In this project, a compact optical particle sensor will be developed using miniaturized optical and electronic components. Various configurations will need to be designed, integrated, and tested to optimize the system performance. The ultimate goal is to fabricate a prototype that can be worn by a worker during field tests. The work will include design, building and testing of a first demonstrator.
The internship will last for at least 4 months. A longer duration is possible based on the project’s outcome and the candidate’s interests.
