What will you be doing?
In this project, you will investigate the noise of wind turbines. Thereto you will use a wind turbine noise code developed by TNO. Calculations with this code will be brought into an international Benchmark and compared with results from other codes and possibly measurements.
The internship consists of the following tasks:
1. A literature survey on wind turbine noise and wind turbine noise models
2. Perform calculations for the international Benchmark with the wind turbine noise code of TNO
3. Together with TNO researchers, evaluate the results from the calculations and understand differences with results from other models and measurements.
4. Communicate results with the participants in the Benchmark
5. Report and present findings
What do we require of you?
