What will you be doing?
At TNO we are developing the capability to design superconducting circuits for military applications. The design flow for such circuits involve amongst others circuit characterization, optimization, margin and yield analysis, layout generation, and verification. Automation of these processes is highly desired. You will be working within a small team to further develop this circuit design flow for superconducting electronics, focusing on the layout generation, verification and extraction.
You will perform this assignment in the Department of Radar Technology. We are a passionate and creative group of professionals (60 people) dedicated to the specification, development and evaluation of innovative, high-performance MMICs, miniaturised and integrated RF subsystems, antennas and front-ends, and signal processing algorithms. The department is at the heart of novel, game-changing radar system and signal processing concepts for the military, space and civil domains.
What do we require of you?
You are in the final stages of your degree in physics, electrical engineering, or a similar degree with some background in quantum mechanics or circuit design. You have experience with programming in Python, you are pragmatic and focused on making things work. Some experience with C++ or collaborative coding is a plus. Apart from technical skills we value communication skills and a results-driven attitude.
