In many situations a group of people (e.g. a project team, a standardization committee) find it difficult to reach a crisp, clear and common understanding of the words and phrases that its team-members use. This difficulty emerges as misunderstandings, and errors being made, e.g. in specifications of information systems, standards, program code, and more. TNO has devised a process to resolve such issues, and has used this to overcome such difficulties in different situations. This has created a need for establishing a set of IT tools that can be used to support the creation and maintenance (curation) of terminologies. A specification for such tooling is also being developed.
What will be your role?
The core of the work will be done in a small team at TNO in Groningen, which interacts frequently with the Concepts and Terminology Working Group of the Trust over IP community, which is part of the Linux Foundation.
How do you want to contribute to tomorrow's world? How big can your impact be? Come and work at TNO and envision it.
