What will you be doing?
Electrification is finding its way in the development of heavy-duty vehicles. TNO is currently monitoring a handful of electric and hybrid trucks with varying applications in the Netherlands. This is a very practical software-oriented assignment. The focus of this assignment is to investigate the possibilities to process, visualize, and evaluate large data bases of measurement data of electric and hybrid vehicles. This can be done either in commercially available software (e.g. Looker, Tableau and Power BI) or in internally developed tools (e.g. Matlab, Excel or Python). The goal of the assignments is to further develop these tools and evaluate them on several aspects. These aspects may include for example:
- Ease of use
- Data processing time
- Visualization flexibility
- Visualization quality
The detailed tasks on this assignment include:
- Familiarize with current internal tools/databases.
- Visualization tool development according to aspects described above.
- Perform data evaluation on example data sets.
- Report writing and internal presentation.
What do we require of you?
- You are pursuing a degree on automotive technology.
- You have broad experience in Matlab/Simulink.
- Practical/pragmatic way of working
- You have previous experiences/courses related to software development.
- [optional] You have programming skills in software such as Looker, Tableau and Power BI.
