What will you be doing?
ECN.TNO Wind Energy offers a wide variety of internship and graduation assignments on both Bachelor and MSc level. The assignments cover domains related to off-shore wind farm design, development of new concepts and system integration. One can think of assignments on the field of wind turbine (components) design, optimization of wind farm lay-outs, design of the wind farm electrical infrastructure, optimization of operation and maintenance, measurement techniques etc.
What do we require of you?
The wide variety of activities makes that we accept students from master and bachelor level from almost all technical disciplines e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, physics etc. Both thesis as well as internship projects are possible. Enthusiasm and a result oriented approach are important recommendations. Your activities are carried out in an international framework which requires a good knowledge of the English language.
What can you expect of your work situation?
Your work will be carried out in our Wind Energy department in Petten and/or Delft, with approximately 60 enthusiastic, academic or bachelor professionals who have in-depth knowledge of wind energy technology. Your work at TNO will be supervised by one or two of these Wind Energy experts. Where possible your activities are connected to our projects. These projects can have a research orientation but we also have projects with a strong industrial focus.
