What will you be doing?
In ca. 3 months you will gain a thorough understanding of wind turbine blade damage – the damage types/modes, location on the blade, cause of the damage, consequence of the damage, and the corresponding maintenance strategy.
1. Literature study about the design and manufacturing of wind turbine blade, with focus on the state-of-the-art large blade used for offshore turbines.
2. Reach out wind turbine blade manufacturers and blade repairing companies to understand the blade damages and the corresponding maintenance strategy through interviews.
What do we require of you?
We are looking for a enthusiastic proactive person with ample structural and material insight (preferably experience with composite materials). Part of the work will be contacting and interviewing partners and you need to understand the sensitivities associated with the topic. Good communication and reporting skills.

You will be working from the Petten location, great if you like the beach and the dunes. (The location can be a bit challenging to reach by public transport).
