You have a passion for wind, for the energy transition and the development of (wind related) technology that speeds up this transition. You are a result oriented, enthusiastic person, a finisher.
As a researcher Installation, Operations & Maintenance, it is your role to continuously look for the information that the client wants and/or needs to know. It is your role to define what information you and the project team need to know about the installation of the specific wind turbine. You find out what the relevant data is to answer the research question and how to perform the tests optimally. You are able to analyse and report data to your project team as well as to your client. This requires strong communicational skills.
You like to do applied research, in close collaboration with the client. You have affinity and experience with publishing papers and also used to publish in relevant journals. You are eager to learn on the job and have good analytical skills.
Next to that, we are looking for someone with the following education, experience and capabilities:
You will be working in the department Wind Energy. This department within the unit ECN.TNO will provide you with a group of colleagues that is living and breathing wind energy. Our research focuses on offshore wind power plants. ECN.TNO has been performing research into wind energy for the past 40 years. It has grown into a globally recognized entity in this field. ECN.TNO supports both the government and the energy sector with advice, research and development. Our key partners range from wind turbine manufacturers, wind farm developers, contractors, governments, institutes and universities. ECN part of TNO has a strong link with the test field in Wieringermeer, where prototype turbines are certified and research turbines enable experiments.
