What will be your role?

The department of Metabolic Health Research (MHR), develops technology and knowledge in the area of biomedical health. Together with (international) collaborators from academia, research institutes, public bodies and food, cosmetics and pharma industry we develop, directly implement and apply new technology and approaches in industrial applications and projects. In this way we help companies to innovate. Within the team Human Cell Biology, innovative technologies are being used to better understand (patho)physiological processes and pharmacokinetic aspects, such as liver metabolism of drugs and intestinal absorption of food ingredients. Examples of such technologies are InTESTine, organ on-a-chip, stem-cell derived organoids and perfused whole organs. Our prime focus is to understand the pharmacokinetic behaviour of compounds, but we also investigate safety and efficacy issues.

Currently we are looking for a laboratory technician, who can help us with the development and application of new preclinical models and analytical methods. Creativity and accuracy are essential for this position. You will be involved in the preparation and performance of experiments, as well as in the analysis of data (e.g. MSD, ELISA, LSC, RT-PCR). You enjoy keeping up with new developments and use these to further improve our models and methods. You thrive in an environment where scientists and technicians closely work together to understand biological mechanisms, to develop robust models and to help our clients.

How do you want to contribute to tomorrow's world? How big can your impact be? Come and work at TNO and envision it.
