What will be your role?

The Netherlands safer thanks to your knowledge and skills. Your dream too? We focus on this every day and are looking for a talented, experienced and passionate addition to our team.

You will be working within the Weapon Systems (WS) department. The Weapon Systems department advises parties including the Dutch Ministry of Defence on the performance of weapon systems, from small calibre systems to large complex missile systems. You will determine the trajectory of the ammunition, calculate the probability of hit, estimate the damage to a target, and calculate the functional consequences for the target. A good advice requires all relevant aspects to be integrated. An important part of our expertise is therefore the ability to connect an entire spectrum of knowledge areas – from technical content to military operational – from a weapon systems perspective. As only a limited number of partial features of weapon systems can be tested experimentally in practice, we carry out our system analyses mainly using (3D) models and simulations. These insights can then be used to determine how weapon systems can be deployed optimally, with optimally meaning that certain damage must be avoided.

How do you want to contribute to tomorrow's world? How big can your impact be? Come and work at TNO and envision it.
