What will you be doing?

Together with colleagues you will work on the latest innovations in the field of 5G, the internet, automotive, media, industry and other technologies that require communication. From a Networks perspective, you contribute to making, for example, 5G, autonomous driving and virtual meetings successful. These research areas call on your knowledge of and expertise in network protocols, routing algorithms and wired and wireless connection technology. For this reason, you are continuously familiarising yourself with the latest internet techniques such as Software-Defined Networking, Network Function Virtualization and Zero-Touch Automation. In addition, you will have the opportunity to further develop existing internet techniques with new elements in collaboration with neighbouring research areas. We are one of the first to be able to set up a VPN that can withstand cyber-attacks by a Quantum computer and to set up 5G networks fully automatically without human intervention or manual configuration of servers and networks.

What do we require of you?

  • Academic education;
  • Experience with Linux systems and different programming languages;
  • The terms OpenFlow, Network programmability and Network Function Virtualization, Mobile Ad-hoc Networks and ad-hoc routing KVM, VMware, Open Source MANO and Openflow stack are not foreign to you;
  • Eagerness to expand your knowledge and skills.

You can apply till the 12th of May. The process comprises at least two (selection) rounds. First two interview rounds and then an assessment. After a positive selection, we will finish off the process by discussing terms and conditions of employment. We try to complete the interviews and assessment within 4 weeks.
