What will be your role?

MPEG Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) makes continuous playout of video at low bandwidth possible by requesting video segments with an adequate resolution/bitrate. Techniques like AI upscaling of video might be used at the receiving end to keep the quality of video as high as possible.
In addition, AI synthesizing techniques might be able to fill in missing parts of video in case of packet loss. In this assignment you’ll build a video delivery pipeline that can randomly add a drop in resolution, can randomly drop packets in live video, and build the AI module at the receiving end that will upscale and fill in the missing parts. You will measure the quality of the video against the original content and find ways to optimize the output. After your research you’ll have an idea of what it entails to use AI in the media delivery pipeline and can make recommendations for additional research.
