What will you be doing?
In the radar technology group many ICs and application specific front-ends are developed. For testing purposes a standardised solution is required to provide the digital control and read out recorded data. Even simple front-end require multiple settings and produce serious amounts of data. Many projects use different but similar solutions for testing.
We need someone to think of a generic solution to take the burden of the individual tests and supply a solution with a hardware interface and software/firmware for controlling the front-end and recording data. The work can be split in smaller assignments dedicated to the interface board or the control software. Your activities will consist of PCB design, component selection, system simulation, firmware or software development.
The duration of this internship is at least 3 months.
What do we require of you?
- You are in the final stages of your degree in artificial intelligence, physics, mathematics, electrical engineering or a similar degree and have some track record in the field of PCB design or FPGA firmware development;
- You are pragmatic and focused on making things work but know how to structure and document your work;
- Next to technical expertise we value communication skills and a results-driven attitude.
What can you expect of your work situation?
