What will you be doing?
In the European Reflexion project TNO teams up with Océ to look at the huge amounts of sensor data that complex embedded systems such as medical devices and professional printers produce daily. The overall theme is: how can we use this operational data to improve the product. Combining domain knowledge with data analysis is one of the approaches we pursue.
In this assignment you will investigate, improve, and implement different time-series analysis algorithms to assist R&D engineers, and validate the results on real-world big data sets. Furthermore, you will develop a user interface component that provides a frictionless way for an R&D engineer to retrieve and present matching data, and to specify and maintain relevant timeseries patterns.
With this assignment you contribute to the Optimal Diagnostic and Analysis System of Océ that provides all R&D engineers with a means to quickly get relevant information from the huge data streams coming from operational printers.
What do we require of you?
You are a Computer Science or Mathematics student looking for a graduation assignment of 6-9 months. You have experience with data analysis and strong programming skills, preferably in Python. You feel confident to work in close collaboration with stakeholders of other disciplines to create solutions and iteratively adapt your ideas.
