
Internship | Modelling and optimisation of adsorption-enhanced reactions for a sustainable chemical industry
About this position
A sustainable chemical industry requires processes with enhanced efficiency, that run electrically, and based on circular carbon. By working with us in the roadmap Towards CO2 Neutral Industry of TNO Energy Transition, you will support the development of a sustainable chemical industry.
What will be your role?
Depending on the preference of the candidate and the ongoing projects, the internship may include modelling and optimisation work on various levels, ranging from flowsheeting and techno-economics to reactor design and kinetic modelling.
In the assignment, you will collaborate with TNO experts from the expertise cluster Gas Processing, Treatment and Conversion consists of 15 highly motivated researchers.
What we expect from you
The candidate is proactive, intrinsically motivated and able to function as part of a team; with affinity for calibrating models to experimental data, and able to present and discuss results in a clear and concise manner.
- Professional proficiency in English, preferably Dutch
- Experience in using modelling tools, depending on the assignment
- Solid command of mathematics, physics and chemistry at the academic level.
