Internship | Web Content Generator
About this position
Large-scale exercises are essential to train our armed forces that defend our society. A hand-written scenario always is the basis of the exercise, so that military personnel know the context in which they operate, and can make decisions within the spirit of the scenario. The scenario comprises PowerPoint documents, text documents, and even an entire simulated internet with news sites and social media. The creation of all this content is manual and very time intensive. We envision that in the future generative AI will be able to write web content autonomously, based on a scenario-outline description as input. The availability of such tooling will decrease the burden on scenario-writers in future exercises.
What will be your role?
During this internship you will investigate whether an algorithm can generate texts, based on a description of a context. For example a twitter message or a short news update, based on a description of events. This new text should follow the facts but should appear as if it was newly written (no copy-paste). Which information is required to generate these texts? How do we get this from the given description? How can we make sure the new texts look realistic and human-written? Could GPT-3 be used as a text-generation algorithm, or could we find inspiration in summarization algorithms to devise a lighter-weight alternative? Any of these questions could be the focus of your internship. However, we strongly encourage you to bring forward your own ideas about this subject.
What we expect from you

Affinity with the military domain is a big plus!
