Internship | Hydrogen ICE: fuel-air mixture preparation and combustion model

This internship/master thesis project targets the design, implementation and functional validation of a Hydrogen High Pressure Direct Injection (HPDI) Injector model

For this MSc project the following activities are foreseen:

• Literature study on fuel injection modelling and HPDI (hydrogen) combustion
• Selection of modelling environment
• Identifying HPDI Injector functional design and geometry
• Design of HPDI injector model
• HPDI injector model implementation
• Model functional validation and sensitivity study
• Writing report and presenting results
• Part of internship

Affinity with combustion engines and Fuel Injection Equipment
Interest in numerical work and construction principles/mechanical design
