Internship | High Speed Tracking using Event Cameras
About this position

What will be your role?
You will develop and validate an algorithm which efficiently makes use of event camera data to build up a track of a supersonic projectile. The algorithm can later be used to predict the impact position and time of the projectile in real time.
You will do this work together with researches from two departments within TNO Defense Safety & Security who are happy to show you more about the work shortly covered in the video above.
What we expect from you
Much of the work and the area of expertise will probably be new to you. We therefor mainly expect a positive attitude towards learning, which can only be a product of genuine interest in:
- Both hardware (event camera, processors) and software (tracking algorithms);
- The field of expertise of Defense Safety & Security.
We expect you to show ownership in running the project and to actively ask for help and feedback to keep improving your project.
Besides this the following requirements hold:
- You have completed a technical bachelor education;
- You have programming experience in one of the following languages: Python, C# or C++.
