Internship | How to think about user goals for future psychologically safe integrated digital systems

About this position

The digital transformation is particularly challenging for larger organisations. Their digital technology estates are increasingly complicated, exacerbated by the increased activity around Digital Twin. The challenges around digital technology absorption and psychological safety, when inadequately addressed, result in a less-than-ideal employee confidence and unhappy employees. This is costly and unsafe for the organisation. With initial insights into if and how we can update and enrich our system integration engineering practice, we may be able to deliver more useful and usable solutions with fewer disruptions in the organisational process.

What will be your role?

You may conduct both primary and secondary research to identify ways in which audience experience is considered. With support and guidance from colleagues in the Advanced Computing Engineering group, you will you will survey the state of the art of Human Computer Interaction and Requirements Engineering & Design so as to identify possible matches. Your result will be used to shape initial user design patterns for future psychologically safe integrated digital systems and environments.

The focus of this assignment is to inform Science and Engineering how to potentially better approach the extraction, testing and communication activities of multi-user goals during the requirement elicitation process. We start by identifying considerations, methods and techniques used in the Humanities faculty – ideally in the fields of theatre or performance studies.

What we expect from you

You are currently doing, or have completed, your Master’s degree in the Humanities faculty, preferably in the field of theatre or performance studies, with a healthy practical portfolio. A degree in the field of science, technology and engineering is not required but a keen interest in digital technologies will benefit your experience and the work immensely. In addition to technical expertise, a good command of the English language is highly valued. Dutch is not required but know that we are a group with a diverse international culture.
