What will be your role?

You support the Semicon Equipment & Metrology (SEM) department of the TNO Unit High Tech Industry (HTI) based in Delft. This dynamic and international research group at TNO recently emerged from the redesign of the former Nano-instrumentation department and is working on exciting new technologies, mainly focused on the semiconductor industry. The department conducts a large part of applied research for the business community. Together with the department head and his deputy, you are the backbone to support the department and ensure that processes run smoothly.

Working with and for each other is in your genes. In this role you are the permanent point of contact for the department manager. As a Management Assistant you are part of the joint secretariat of the departments at the location in Delft, together with 4 fellow department secretaries.

It is important that you enjoy having a wide range of tasks, which require a high degree of flexibility and accuracy in their execution. You are expected to be proactive, but also to think before you act. In this position there is room to develop new activities on your own initiative.

In principle, we are looking for 32 hours a week. Additional up to 40 hours a week is an option in the form of support from the other secretariats at the location.

What we expect from you

In order to fulfill this role properly, we expect you to meet the following profile.
You have a:

  • Education on Vocational level (MBO) and preferably an HBO working and thinking level.
  • Workexperience of least 5 years of as a Personal Assistant, Office Manager or Secretary.
  • Good command of the Dutch and certainly also the English language, spoken and written
  • Flexible mind, genuine interest in people and a drive to support TNO colleagues.
  • Good command of supporting and common Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook, Word and SharePoint.
  • Professional attitude to get energy from working together and as a person you are available for questions from colleagues.
  • Healthy ability to put things into perspective and bring optimism and humor.
  • Weekly availability of at least 32 hours.

The selection process

Please apply before the 30th of June, 2024. The selection process comprises two interview rounds. The preliminary interview takes place in weeks 28 and 29. The second interview round has been scheduled for weeks 30 and 31. In a final meeting we will discuss the terms of employment and your tailored benefits package. We aim to finalize the entire process within four weeks.

The selection process may include an online assessment and a reference check.

A certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is required before starting a new job at TNO.
