Cold baked brick

The production process of bricks normally consists of heating the clay at a high temperature of 1000 to 1200 degrees Celsius. Now there is also an alternative process for producing a durable brick without the use of these extremely high temperatures. This new process makes use of an (alkali) activator, wherein the after-treatment temperature is between 20 and 50 degrees Celsius. This results in energ savings for the producer.
