Daniel Mann

Daniel specialises in the development, characterisation and implementation of advanced functional materials, coatings and nanocomposites. His focus is on stimuli-responsive materials that interact with external triggers, such as light, temperature and magnetic fields. Application areas include, smart coatings, reversible adhesives, recycling and circularity concepts, induction heating and alternatives for Critical Raw Materials.
Daniel is developing innovative advanced (nano)materials, coatings and (nano)composites for the energy and materials transition. His focus is on applied research using stimuli responsive and smart materials for e.g. energy efficient smart windows, improved solar panels, replacement of critical raw materials, design for recycling and reuse and transforming thermal processes.
