TNO is an independent not-for-profit research organisation made up of units, boards, and a services organisation. Meet our Supervisory Board, Executive Board, and Council for Defence Research.
Organisation structure
TNO was founded by law in 1932. Our goal is to make knowledge applicable for companies and governments.
Executive Board
The TNO Executive Board is charged with managing the organisation and has full authorisation to do so insofar as this is not ascribed to other bodies according to the TNO Act.
Supervisory Board
The TNO Supervisory Board is responsible for supervising the policy of the Board of Management and advising them.
Council for Defence Research
The Council for Defence Research determines the policy regarding defence research, with due observance for the responsibilities of the Executive Board.
