Marty Blom

I study the health effects and risks of allergens and novel proteins. Through scientific research and innovation, we aim to enhance food safety. In multidisciplinary collaboration, I enjoy translating complex data into practical tools - aligned with policy, industry, healthcare, and patient organisations.
I am part of Risk Analysis for Prevention, Innovation & Development (RAPID). This department studies the health effects of exposure to hazardous substances in the workplace, in the environment, and after intake. It develops innovative approaches for early prediction of health effects resulting from such exposure, as well as measuring, modelling, and managing exposure.
