At the coffee machine, being updated by an expert

About, for example, machine learning to detect diabetes in children at an early stage. A heat-absorbing coating on buildings that allows us to generate energy more intelligently. Or how about games to train soldiers for missions? At TNO, your consultancy skills and affinity with our themes will come in handy. Whatever field you choose – from defence to health – as a TNO employee and time setter, you will provide the best advice that our society and customers need.

Consultant at TNO

What is your role?

At TNO, as a consultant, you play a crucial role in connecting science and practice. On the one hand, you think about how we can convert our often complex expertise, knowledge and techniques into usable results that customers can use. In addition, you translate the needs of customers into research questions and offer strategic advice to companies and government institutions.

You help them develop future-oriented strategies, based on the latest scientific insights and technological developments. This can range from energy solutions to healthcare and mobility. You discuss the progress of projects, draw up quotes, and ensure that everyone is on the same page. You also think about converting raw results into clear conclusions or recommendations.

Statistical and data analyses, delivering reports and presenting research results are part of your varied range of tasks. After all, you know exactly what our customers need. Do you see opportunities to win a new project? Then you cash in on them by working together with content experts and business developers.

But above all: Making a real difference every day

At TNO, you get the chance to make a difference by contributing to groundbreaking projects and working with leading experts in various fields. Whether it concerns innovations in Defence, combating cybercrime, making the (maritime) industry and the built environment more sustainable, innovations in healthcare, the digital identity of the future or promoting the circular economy. At TNO, you contribute to a better world.

Become a driving force behind innovation and be part of a team that shapes the future.
