About this position

The Financial Centre (FC) consists of the Order to Cash (O2C), Purchase to Pay (P2P) and Record to Report (R2R) departments. This makes the FC responsible for all incoming and outgoing flows of funds, the correct and timely processing of purchase invoices and orders, adequate accounts receivable management and credit risk mitigation, the correct and timely recording of costs and revenues, as well as an accurate representation of balance sheet positions. The Credit Management department is part of the O2C department. Credit Management activities include supporting the quotation process, proactive accounts receivable management and reducing the risk of irrecoverable debts.

What will be your role?

As a Credit Controller, you will have a challenging job. This includes being a key link in optimising the process related to the acceptance and management of client relationships and the collection of outstanding invoices, maintaining frequent contact with your colleagues across the TNO organisation and clients. You will be part of the Credit Management department, which consists of five employees and is responsible for credit risk assessment and accounts receivable management. Within the team, you will be involved in the operational process regarding the collection of outstanding invoices and the performance of credit checks.

What we expect from you

Managing an accounts receivable portfolio and performing credit checks is quite a big job that often needs to be done under time pressure and involves a lot of contact with various stakeholders. You have a flexible attitude, you are a team player and you know how to get the work done, and you are in control of your portfolio. 
Other knowledge and skills you bring to TNO:

  • A higher professional (HBO) degree in a financial or economic field.
  • Relevant work experience in finance.
  • Good oral and written skills in both Dutch and English.
  • Your work is disciplined and structured and you monitor the progress of your work.

The selection process

Please apply before the 28th of December, 2025. The selection process comprises two interview rounds. The preliminary interviews will takes place on January 8 and 9, 2026. In a final meeting we will discuss the terms of employment and your tailored benefits package. We aim to finalize the entire process within four weeks.

The selection process may include an online assessment and a reference check.

A certificate of Conduct (VOG) is required before starting a new job at TNO.
