Selection process

Everything starts with your resume, make sure it looks good and suits the position you are applying for.

Covid-19 and applying at TNO

The coronavirus (COVID-19) has the world in lockdown. Something that none of us have ever experienced. This is true for TNO as well. Over 3000 of our employees work from home, among which many of our recruiters. The vacancies on our vacancy page are real, open vacancies, even in these times.

Most of our job interviews will be held through video calls for as long as the RIVM guidelines are in effect. The concerning recruiter will keep you updated on the details. Even in times such as these, people are being hired. With the TNO onboarding app, a TNO laptop and a stable VPN connection, we make sure you get settled in online and try to make your start as smooth as possible. More than ever our slogan: “Innovation for life”, is applicable.

Selection process

After a positive review of your CV and motivation, you will be invited to a preliminary interview, followed by a second interview with employees working in your chosen field and, possibly, a presentation assignment. The third round for starters comprises an assessment.

This applies also to professionals who may also be interviewed by the Director of Research before moving on to a fourth round interview with the Managing Director. You will be contacted (by phone) within three working days and may be invited to a continuation of the selection process.
