Why India–Netherlands?
India has set an ambitious target to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2070. As part of this transition, green hydrogen and bio-based hydrogen are central to its decarbonization strategy. The Netherlands, with its strong innovation ecosystem, is uniquely positioned to collaborate with India in this domain.
Over the past years, the Netherlands Embassy in India, RVO, and partners have facilitated missions and matchmaking efforts to connect Dutch companies, universities, and research institutes with Indian stakeholders. These efforts culminated in the commissioning of a multi-phase study by TNO to explore joint opportunities in green hydrogen technologies, policy frameworks, and trade flows.
This invite-only session brings together key stakeholders from government, industry, and academia to:
- Reflect on the 2025 Dutch Hydrogen Innovation Mission to India
- Share insights and best practices for R&D and commercial collaboration
- Discuss the upcoming TNO study on Indo-Dutch hydrogen opportunities
- Explore joint initiatives for India Energy Week 2026 and the World Hydrogen Summit
