Accelerating Bilateral Green Collaboration

The Netherlands and Brazil are uniquely positioned to lead the global transition to sustainable industry and energy. As the world faces mounting pressure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, both countries are seeking to accelerate the shift from fossil-based inputs to renewable, circular alternatives. This match-making session brings together businesses from both nations to explore strategic value chains and concrete project opportunities.

Why Brazil–Netherlands?

A global leader in renewable energy, with over 90% of electricity from renewables, vast biomass resources, and a mature ethanol industry. Brazil is rapidly developing green hydrogen hubs and large-scale e-methanol projects, positioning itself as a major exporter of green molecules and circular carbon .

Together with Europe facing the challenge of defossilizing its energy and chemicals industry the Netherlands is seeking reliable partners for large-scale imports of green hydrogen and circular carbon. The Netherlands are a great offtaker of renewable molecules and are the gateway to Europe. Strategic alliances with Brazil are essential to secure supply chains and maintain industrial competitiveness.
